Sayama old tea tree
The original seed of this tree was brought by Gonzaemon, ancester of the shop's family, from Uji in Keicho-era. This is the reason why the shop is authorized as the origin of Sayama tea. This 300 year old tea tree is still alive at Sayama Ro-cha-ju-en (Old-tea -tree-shop).
Powdered Green Tea
Whole leaves and stalks of green tea are powdered into it. You can easily make a cup of green tea by pouring hot water over the powder.

How to use
Hot/Cold tea : Pour 120 cc hot water over a half spoon of Powdered Green Tea. Instantly the powder desolves then you can enjoy delicious green tea. By cold water and some ice will serve you nice cold tea.
Cooking : Put Powdered Green Tea into cake, cookie and steamed bread for enjoying green color and tea flavour.
Topping : Best for yogurt and ice cream.
