Today I received the Oke(KWM12) and onsen powders form you. I had a wonderful bath and the aroma from the powder reminded me very much of Japan. I was very impressed with these products,The craftsmanship was superb. When the wood is wet, it gives off such a fragrant scent. I will continue to look at your web-site for outstanding products from Japan. I will also tell all my friends about the joy of the Japanese bath and where they can find such excellent workmanship. The bottle and 2 cups(TNB1-2) arrived and my boss is very, very, very happy and says it is extremely beautiful. Thank you so much!!!

The brushes(OU4) arrived 2 days ago in very good condition. They are beautiful!
Taisho and Meiji think the brushes smell very interesting! Maybe there are cats at the brush factory? When I brush Taisho, he wants to sniff the brush for a very long time -- and then he wants to eat it! Meiji is better behaved.

The Plane(ISO2) is even more impressive and beautiful than I expected. I was pleasantly surprised by its very heaviness. I feel that I have to practice a bit with chisel and oak before I dare to touch it in order to make it ready for use. The first thing I'll try to animate with it is the mantelpiece for the fireplace in the restroom of our bath(sauna, swimmingpool and room with the fireplace). It will be a plain plank of oak I have already saved for this purpose.
I take the liberty to trouble You and the Master once more about the plane. It is no idle boast that the plane is able to make shavings less than a comma (0.1mm) thick; even I have been able to do that from ordinary pinewood. My son-in-law compared the shavings to pages from a prayerbook. The texture of shavings from a tightveined wood is even smoother than silk.
Apart from that the blade makes me think about wood better and more deeply and also wanting to learn to plane better to bring out better the beauty inherent in a piece of wood. It's in a way a teacher! Indeed, when I find a new (old) piece of wood that seems interesting I look into the wood with the help of my "Muso-in(ISO2)". I'm deeply grateful and proud to know that there is such a master craftsman living who can make something like this blade. I hope You will convey my gratefullness to Master Ishido and his wife.

I found your web site because I was searching for 'kiri tansu' using Google. I have been looking for a small merchant's kiri tansu for some time and I periodically check the Internet to see what is available and yesterday I found your site and saw your 'kiri' products.
Traditional Japanese design and culture are very appealing to me, so I enjoy kiri tansu and other items made from wood. They are very simple, yet elegant and harmonious with each other and give a peaceful feeling. I also enjoy cooking Japanese meals and the food of some other Asian countries, particularly Thailand, so I use more rice than most Americans. The Kome-bitsu on your web site looked like a good way to store rice conveniently and attractively.
Thank you very much. The Kome-bitsu(MC8) arrived in good condition, and so quickly. Its amazing how small the world is now. I like it very much and others who have seen it also agree that it shows very fine craftsmanship.

I received the ohitsu(KWM7) yesterday morning. What a big surprise to receive it so soon! It is lovely. I immediately rinsed it and made a pot of fresh genmai to put in it. I am already enjoying the aroma and beauty of it. Please give my thanks to the Master craftsman who made it. Domo arigato.

Yes, we did receive it(KWM7) and my mom loved it. She was so excited when it came. She explained to me all the craftsmanship that she saw in it along with the name in the bottom. She had read the brochure from front to back about 20 times and told me about all that was written in it. She really was very excited.
She told me that in the old days that instead of the copper it was wrapped with bamboo, but it really did make more sense to use copper now. She even keeps a cloth over it because she says, "hokori ga kaburu kara..." Thanks again for being out there.
You really made my mother happy. She really is very simple and usually requires very little especially at her age. I haven't seen my mom SO excited about something like this in a long time. Yoroshiku,

I have seen the (glass) pen(SS2) once before. And I thought it would be a perfect gift for my fiance. Also I plan to give this for his completion of his Degree, so if you can put in a gift box, it is very appreciated.

The Sudares(TN6) are truly wonderful. They are the main point of the apartment. I think you will be pleasantly surprised to see how well they mount in mahogany frames. I will send photos next week. I think of you often and tell the story of how we met on the Internet to my friends. This year I am, without fail, going to visit Kyoto so I will go through Tokyo to meet you.

Finally, I got them! The items are so beautiful, thanks very much! I love the packaging also, especially the box the tabi were packed in. I love details like that - it's why I always buyJapanese videogames, because the packagingis so much nicer. The Japanese have an eye for fine details like this that most westerners seem to lack.
I tried on the tabi(ISY8), and they are beautiful. They fit me like a glove! Actually, they are quite snug at the moment, but being cotton, I'm sure they'll stretch slightly and adjust to the contours of my feet with a little use. Please thank the craftsman for me, he has done a wonderful job - his workmanship is amazing. It's so great to be able to own such fine pieces of traditional Japanese craftsmanship.
Do you know where I could get some traditional zori sandles from, so I can wear the tabi outside on my patio? It's nice in the autumn to eat breakfast and dinner outside on the patio, so if I had some nice sandles I could go straight outside with them - in true Japanese style!

I love my pen(SS1). They write amazingly well! So light, so good at placing the ink. Very gentle! I love it!

Thank you so very much for sending the ohitsu(KWM7)! I received it this afternoon, and I'm very pleased with it. The fragrance is wonderful, and the quality exceptional. I appreciate the great service you have provided, and I shall certainly recommend your company to all my friends and colleagues.
Everything is fine with the ohitsu. We love it and use it frequently. I wanted to purchase another ohitsu as a birthday present for a friend. She has seen mine and is quite jealous, so I wanted to make her happy by giving her one of your beautiful ohitsu's.
